Log into ILLiad Web Circulation with your username and password

 

CHECK OUT

 

Match the patron’s Library ID with the ID number on the ILL bookstrip.

 

To check an item out to a patron, scan the barcode or type the transaction number into the field next to the Check Out button and then click Check Out.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

Multi-volume Pieces:

Click the Check Out button only ONCE.

 

 

RETURNED ITEMS

 

To mark an item in transit that is being returned, enter the transaction number and then click Mark In Transit.

 

 

 

Multi-volume pieces:

The following note will display in orange when multi-volumes pieces are returned, "Verify the Correct Number of Pieces".  If there are missing pieces, please let the patron know that there are other volumes that need to be returned before all of the volumes can be "checked in" in their account.  Do not mark the item in transit and instead click on the Home button. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Renewals

 

You may try to renew an item for a patron by entering the transaction number in the box next to Renew and clicking Renew.  If the item is renewable, the new due date will be one week from the original due date.  To see the new due date, search the request.

 

If the item cannot be renewed, the reason will display in red.

 

  • The window of time in which an item can be renewed is between 7 days before up until the due date
  • ILL material can only be renewed once.
  • Some libraries restrict their material as NOT RENEWABLE.

 

 

 

Searching

 

All of these tasks can also be completed by searching for the transaction.  In the following example, the item is checked out to the customer. Mark In Transit is the only available option.  Renewals are allowed, but not until closer to the due date.

 

You may search for a list of a patron’s active loan requests and check their pickup location by clicking on the Users tab and entering their last name.  Match their Library ID# with their U-Card. Please make sure that you have selected the correct patron before making any changes to a patron’s account. 

 

Note: This will NOT include any finished requests or articles.  It will only list loans that are in process or checked out.
