Awards Books

ABOUT

We add books to the collection, with a bookplate, as recognition of campus accomplishments.

Student Awards

Student Awards

Whenever a library employee earns a degree, we add a book in their honor.

  • It's most appropriate, naturally, to order a clothbound book in a field closely related to the honoree's field of study.

Gift Plate Wording:

These are added in an Internal Note, e.g.:

Internal Note: Please add bookplate: “In honor of Cindi Nichols in recognition of her completion of Library Support Staff Certification, sponsored by the American Library Association, in December 2015.”

Faculty Awards

  • See o1054480x.
  • Full list of awards at http://www.memphis.edu/aa/provost/facawards/
  • If there is an awards dinner, etc., we try to rush order the books and have them cataloged and plated before the dinner.
