Track Research and Publications

Introduction

You can create alerts or email notifications to track new research being published in your field or about your research focus.

Use library databases like Scopus and EBSCO to create alerts for new journal articles, specific search terms, and/or researchers you're interested in. Google Scholar also allows users to track researchers (including yourself), search results, and citations.

Use the left-hand tabs to learn more about tracking in Scopus, EBSCO, and Google Scholar.

Discipline-Specific Resources

PubMed offers a Saved Search function for medical and health-related research. The Saved Searches feature facilitates saving search queries for NCBI databases, and provides automatic e-mail updates for saved searches, which can be set up on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Learn how to set up a Saved Search in PubMed.

IEEE Xplore allows you to create My Research Project folders to save and follow electrical and electronic engineering research. Learn how to set alerts and create My Research Projects in IEEE.

Additional Tools
