Explore virtual collections of books and ebooks by monthly themes curated by University of Memphis librarians.

A marbeled green-gray background with bold, black text reading "March" and "Roman Myths" with a laurel between the stacked text. On either side fo the banner are black, realistic line drawings of mythological statues.

Though the month of March looks like it comes from the English word march, its name is in honor of the Roman god Mars. In fact all of our months' names have their origin in the Roman calendar, and you can read more about that from the Encyclopedia Britannica.

To celebrate this linguistic fun fact, we've curated media about Roman mythology, legends and some history!
