UofM's combined writing and speaking center offers free, one-on-one consultations online or in-person (located on the 1st floor of McWherter Library on the main campus). Whether you are working on a paper, presentation, or speech, we can help you brainstorm topics, develop a thesis, build your argument, help with research, organize your writing, develop editing strategies, and implement standard citation conventions. If you are delivering a speech, you can practice in our presentation studio.
You're not expected to be an expert researcher. Get help from the experts - librarians. Meet virtually or in-person for 30 min. or hour-long research sessions. Learn what the best databases are, develop your online searches, and get your research done faster.
If your professor has put something "On Reserve at the Library," that means it is either a physical item that you can access by asking for it at the Check Out Desk in McWherter Library, or it is a digital file that you can access on the Course Reserves website.
