Welcome to the University of Memphis University Libraries!
No matter what your research needs are, we can help. In addition to the main McWherter Library on the main campus, you can visit the Music Library (main campus), Health Sciences Library (Park Ave. campus), Law Library (downtown), and Lambuth Library (in Jackson, TN).
You can also visit other libraries around Memphis (Memphis Public Library, LeMoyne-Owen College, Rhodes College, Southwest Community College, Christian Brothers University) with your UofM Student ID.
Get to know what you have access to - you have access to a lot of awesome databases, journals (in-print and online), books, eBooks, DVDs, graphic novels, government documents, DSLR cameras, audio recorders, encyclopedias, maps, primary sources... All of this knowledge at your fingertips!
To help make studying easier, the University Libraries are open late during the semester and open 24-hours/day during finals week. Check out our current hours.
We also have a lot of technology for your to check out, including laptops, calculators, cell phone chargers, various kinds of cords and adapters. We have pencil sharpeners, staplers, and 3-hole punches.
We also have a lot of things for your ever-important study break: video games, board games, and various other chill activities.
McWherter Library allows food and drinks with lids in most parts of the building. Tidy up after yourself and recycle/throw out your trash. Please notify library personnel if you have a spill that needs attention. There is also an Einstein Bros. Bagels at the entrance to McWherter Library.
