Prior to initial licensure in Tennessee, applicants may be required to submit qualifying scores on the professional assessments required by Tennessee State Board of Education.
University of Memphis PRAXIS Exams Information
This information is for candidates that need to take either the Core Academic Skills for Educators (Core) Tests or any of the Praxis II Series exams.

The Tennessee Electronic Library (TEL) is a virtual library that you can access from your home PC, your library computer lab, or your mobile device, anywhere with an internet connection in the state of Tennessee. TEL provides access to over 400,000 electronic resources, including magazines, scholarly journals, podcasts, videos, e-books, test preparation materials, federal census records, Tennessee primary source materials, and more. Databases include InfoTrac: Onefile, General Reference Center Gold, Expanded Academic, Contemporary Literary Criticism, Health & Wellness Resource Center, Health Reference Center Academic, Computer Database, the Professional Collection, National Newspaper Index, Informe, What Do I Read Next?, and General Business File International. Available in public and academic libraries throughout Tennessee with funding made available through the Federal Library Services and Technology Act administered by the Tennessee State Library and Archives.
