Canvas Library Modules

There are two ways to add our modules to your course once you have open the module in Canvas Commons: directly importing it or adding it to your Commons favorites. Directly importing it is the quickest method if you are planning to add the module to your courses right now, while favorites is useful if you want to save the module to add to your current or future courses later.

Direct Import to Course

1. From the modules page in Commons, click Import/Download.
2. In the new window, select which courses you would like to add the module to.

Adding to Course From Favorites

1. From the module's page in Commons, click Add to Favorites.
2. Go to the course you want to add the module to and open Modules.
3. Click the options icon, the three dots next to the button for adding a new module, and select Commons Favorites.
4. Find and select the module that you want to add.

All the module quizzes have a preset points values for the whole quiz and individual questions as well as preset rules on time limit for the quiz and how many times it can be retaken.

• Go to Assignment Details to change the total points value for the quiz.
• Use the Build Page to change point values for an individual question.
• Go to the Settings tab in the Build Page to change time limits, the number of times a quiz can be taken, and other display options.

If we update a module you have already added, you will be notified in your Canvas Commons page. You will be given the option to view the version notes with the changes and update the module in your course
