Find Books

Search the Libraries' catalog

Searching for Books

Look for a book using a title or keyword search on your topic.

  1. When you find a book that seems relevant, click on the title and then on the "Subject(s):" link to locate similar books.
  2. Copy down the call number and location.
  3. Go to your floor and locate the book (check with User Assistance if you have problems.)

Locating Books

Public Health is an interdisciplinary field, but most of your titles will be in the RA call number area on the 4th floor of McWherter Library or at the Health Sciences Library. Some general areas include:

RA648-767 Epidemics; Epidemology       RA1001-1171 Forensic Medicine 

Electronic Books. The University Libraries has several electronic book collections that will be of interest. You will find them by searching the online catalog, or by using the Databases link. You may want to explore Ebsco e-books and STAT!REF (a collection of medical books).
