Writing Help

Provides techniques to proofread your own paper, presentation, or other project

Still Need Help?

Additional Resources

If you've worked your way through all of these exercises, and still need help, here are some options:

  • CWC: Set up an appointment with the Center for Writing and Communication. They can help guide you through and provide advice about revision, editing, and proofreading, but they're not going to do it for you. The CWC also offers appointments via Upswing.
  • Purdue OWL: The Purdue Online Writing Lab has tons of self-directed resources available.
  • Your professor: Whomever is teaching your class will be your best resource for getting answers to your questions about the assignment and its expectations. Professors generally love to hear from students - send them an email or set up a meeting to get help.

Center for Writing and Communication

The Center for Writing and Communication, housed on the first floor of McWherter Library, offers free, individual consultations with trained staff. Get feedback on your writing and speaking assignments at any stage in the process.
