What can you borrow from the University of Memphis, University Libraries?
We will supply scans of journal articles, book proceedings or chapters, newspapers and journals from our microfilm and microfiche collection. Articles are delivered through Rapid ILL, Odyssey, OCLC Article Exchange, email, Occam's Reader or U.S. mail.
The requesting library is responsible for complying with U.S. copyright law, but we may refuse to fulfill a request if we determine that it exceeds Fair Use standards, or otherwise violates Copyright law (Title 17, United States Code).
National copyright guidelines for ILL limits our office to supply at no charge five articles published in the last five years from each journal not held in libraries' collections. Copyright fees can apply and must be paid to the journal publisher if the limits are exceeded.
We do not charge our consortia partners from ASERL, LYRASIS, SOLINE, TENN-SHARE, LVIS, and any schools in the state of Tennessee fees for loans and article requests.
