Tennessee OER Commons Hub

The Tennessee Open Education Hub in OER Commons lets you find and adapt OER resources shared and created by colleagues statewide.

Within the Tennessee Open Education Hub, different campuses and systems have their own groups, including one for the University of Memphis. By joining the UofM group, you will be able to save, share, and adapt OER with your colleagues across campus. If you have any questions, email the group admin, Carl Hess (

This video provides an introduction to OER Commons groups and how to save OER to them.

More how-to videos are available in the OER Commons Starter Kit. For complete help resources, look at the OER Commons Help Center.

UofM Databases

University Libraries (UL) offers direct access to the following Open Educational databases and repositories. Based on the subscription status of the respective resources, some may be limited in usage. For example, Shared Shelf, which is available via the web, also has additional material only available through the University Libraries subscription. Others, such as Kanopy, are only available on an on-demand basis. See below for individual descriptions about these various resources.
