This course is designed to introduce the most important aspects of the American Deaf experience by exposing history, contributions, and contemporary lives of Deaf people in America. This interdisciplinary approach addresses topics such as the diversity of Deaf people, Deaf cultural norms, Deaf arts and Deaf international communities. This course provides a foundation for future deaf studies and classes.
