Memphis area composers, including current and former faculty, students, community members.

VICTOR AGUDELO, 1979-

Agudelo is a professor of composition and theory at EAFIT University in Medellin-Colombia. He received a DMA in composition (2008) from the University of Memphis, where he studied with Kamran Ince and John Baur. While at the University of Memphis, Agudelo also studied orchestral conducting with Pu-Qi Jiang and Kraig Williams.

In 2005, he was awarded the Smit Composition Prize, given to outstanding composition students at the University of Memphis. Agudelo's piece "Continental Prism" won The ASCAP Foundation Morton Gould Young Composer Award (2009).
